The device connects perfectly well to my desktop PC so I do not see why it will not connect to my tablet. I have tried running both Hardware Troubleshooter (no solution provided) and cannot see the device when using Disk Management either, so cannot give it a letter.įurther, it appears that I have the most up to date driver. The WD My Passport is showing under Devices but not on the classic desktop when I try and view connectedĭevices - only my C drive and my SD card. However, when I open the app, it says that no WD supported device is connected. Starts flashing, and automatically downloads the WD app from the Store. When I connect the WD My Passport to the tablet, the power light I have backed up a DVD to view on my tablet (ASUS Vivo Tab running Windows 8). I have a WD My Passport (1TB) which I have successfully connected to my very old desktop PC running Windows XP. I have seen a number of posts relating to the same problem, but using the suggested solutions does not help.
